That’s why we’re proud to unveil a beautiful new addition to our reception and downstairs showroom—a bespoke, handcrafted solid timber signage installation that pays tribute to the art of timber craftsmanship in a unique and unexpected way.
More than just a sign, this installation is a celebration of the natural beauty, versatility, and strength of solid timber, and a testament to the kind of custom work that sets AMDC apart. Unlike our traditional applications—doors, architraves, skirtings, and heritage mouldings—this project challenged us to reimagine how our timber products can be used to create stunning, statement-making features in commercial and interior environments.
The signage showcases a curated mix of premium-grade Australian and imported timbers, each selected for its distinctive grain, tone, and character. From the warm richness of American Oak to the elegant detailing of Tasmanian Oak and the understated strength of Victorian Ash, this installation demonstrates the breadth of timber options we work with every day. The layering and contrast between materials were purposefully chosen to highlight not just visual beauty, but also the diversity of finishes and textures we offer.
More importantly, this piece reflects the very essence of what we do—it tells a story of craftsmanship, detail, and a love for working with timber in all its forms. Every joint, every finish, every cut has been designed and executed in-house by our skilled team, many of whom have decades of experience in timber joinery, machining, and finishing.
What makes this piece particularly special is its departure from the conventional. While we’re best known for custom doors and architectural mouldings, this installation proves that timber has a place beyond the standard formats. It’s a reminder that solid timber can be used not only structurally or decoratively, but artistically—to create beautiful, warm, and inviting spaces in ways that are entirely original.
