Skirting blocks sit at the bottom of a doorway where the architrave meets the skirting board. Skirting blocks are advised to be thicker than the architraves in order to enhance the overall look of the doorway.

Skirting blocks can be manufactured from Moisture Resistant Medium Density Fibreboard (MRMDF), Finger Jointed Pine, Clear Pine, Meranti, Oak, Western Red Cedar, Kiln Dried Hardwood (KD Hardwood) or almost any other timber of your choice (some restrictions may apply).
