What Are Architraves?

What Are ArchitravesMoulded architraves are fixtures that accentuate doors and arches. Architraves are fitted over arches and doorways in your home to add a distinctive touch of decoration to your walls. Architraves are excellence for adding a sense of decorum to the appearance of your room, as they have been used for centuries to provide textural and visual appeal to surfaces. Australian Moulding Co. produces a range of quality architraves that can be tailored to suit your personal taste.

Whether it be classical (Edwardian, for instance) or something a little more contemporary, we can create an architrave that will perfectly suit your purposes. Our staff members are highly trained and will be more than happy to consult with you regarding your architrave.

Our architraves are made primarily from EO Moisture Resistant Medium Density Fibreboard (MRMDF), an ideal wood for architrave manufacture as it is durable, exceptionally versatile and accepts a broad set of machined patterns. However, if you would rather have a different kind of wood for your architrave, we also produce architraves from a wide variety of others: Kiln Dried Hardwood (KDHW), Clear Pine, American Oak, or virtually any that can be supplied. The architrave manufacturing process is streamlined and optimised to produce the finest architraves possible. Our architraves are cut to very fine tolerances, ensuring that each architrave leaves the plant in the best possible state. The designs of our architraves are closely checked and precisely implemented for optimal stability.

Architraves are an excellent addition to the construction of your home, whether you are renovating or building a new one. Australian Moulding Co.’s architraves are seconds to none, and will provide many years of complete service and aesthetic appeal. So, improve your home’s décor with an architrave.
